Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is powerful tool, both for use at home and in my treatment room.  I use oils in two way.  I make up custom blends for you for specific issues, this might be a gel for arthritic hands or an oil to rub into a scalp in the case of Alopecia, when hair is falling out.

Essential oils are nature's medicines.  Plants produce these powerful oils for many reasons.  They may want to attract insects for pollination or may produce a nasty tasting oil to repel insects and protect the plant from being eaten.  The oils come from many different parts of the plant.  For instance the orange tree produces oil from the leaves, called Petitgrain, from the flowers and also from the skin of the fruit.  All have different properties and are useful therapeutically in different ways.

I have studied aromatherapy the French way where the oils are used in a pharmaceutical context.  They are carefully chosen and measured, mixed with carriers to really tackle illnesses.  Essential oils become the active part of wound sprays, creams, suppositories and capsules to be taken internally.

My most usual way to use the oils is to help you to access happy, relaxed, emotional states at will.  Years ago I met a Dr Tim Betts who was experimenting with oils to control epilepsy in his patients.

HAPPY CUSTOMERS!   I wanted to say a really big thankyou, my daughter Ava is 9 months old and had been suffering with colds, runny nose, chest infections, and was using an inhaler for asthma.. I went to visit Rosemary in May 2010 and after 3 sessions I am delighted to say it is like having a different baby! ....she has not had coughs or colds since and her breathing is brillant, I have not used the inhaler once.
