My youngest ever reflexology student
Lucy and her mum, Laura came to see me today. Laura comes for reflexology regularly and at the end of her treatment, I showed Lucy how to touch her mummy's feet and she's a natural! I also showed Laura some special baby reflexology that she can do on Lucy!
Lucy was conceived with the help of reflexology and mum had maternity reflexology all through her pregnancy.
This is Laura's story.
I first met Rosemary in May 2009 when I was at an emotional low ebb. This was due to the fact that we had been trying to conceive our first baby for quite some time but without success, which had put a strain on my relationship with my husband. After asking me lots of questions, Rosemary gave me my first ever reflexology treatment and at the end of the session I took away some Emergency Essence to use at night before going to sleep. After a couple more reflexology sessions and seeing as though I'd made my way through the bottle of Emergency Essence, Rosemary suggested I made up my own essence, by choosing 5 different types from her Bush flower remedy cards. Spookily the ones I chose all related to problems that I'd been going through or things I was feeling or worried about at the time. I would say that only after several treatments I could actually feel Rosemary touching my feet. I must have been so distressed before, but slowly I was learning to relax a bit more and give in to the treatment, and enjoy it.
Time marched on to the end of 2009, with regular treatments, but still no conception in site. In January 2010, at a date fast approaching my 40th birthday, my husband suggested we go away for a week in the sun. Before we went away Rosemary tried a couple of sessions of the Bowen Technique on my, which I found very relaxing indeed. The holiday proved to be a real boost for both of us, relaxing in some winter sunshine, snorkelling in the Red Sea, eating well and sleeping loads. It did both of us heaps of good and we came back really relaxed. So much so that at some point in February I fell pregnant, which we had confirmed at hospital on 4th March!!
I have continued to visit Rosemary on a regular basis throughout my pregnancy and have found each treatment very beneficial, keeping me very calm and stress free for days afterwards. I have had no sickness whatsoever and very few niggles during pregnancy and I put this down to the reflexology providing an overall body and mind treatment. I would thoroughly recommend it.
